DataPlexer (“DataPlexer”, “we”, “us”) is operated by AfterSync Technologies, S. de R.L. de C.V. (“AfterSync”), domiciled in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, Mexico. AfterSync is responsible for processing your personal data under the Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (the “Law”), its Regulations, and other applicable rules. This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what you can do about it.
It covers this website — dataplexer.com — and that is what every section below describes.
DataPlexer’s products each have their own notice, and this is not one of them. In particular, the Dataplexer for Sheets™ add-on — the Google Sheets™ add-on that runs Amazon Redshift queries and writes the results into a spreadsheet — is covered by its own privacy policy at dataplexer.com/redshift-gsheets-integration/privacy/, not by this one. Nothing described here applies to it, and no data it handles is shared with this website or with DataPlexer’s other products.
This notice is published in English, and the English text is the operative one. There is no other language version of it.
What we collect
This website has exactly one place where you can give us personal data: the private beta request form. When you submit it we receive the fields you filled in:
- Name — required.
- Email address — required.
- Company — optional.
- Message — optional, and whatever you choose to put in it.
The form also carries two hidden anti-spam values: an always-empty decoy field, and the timestamp at which the page was rendered in your browser. They are used only to decide whether a submission came from a person, and are not stored.
Like any web server, our hosting provider processes the technical data needed to serve you a page — your IP address, the request, and your browser’s user-agent string — for delivery, security and abuse prevention.
We do not collect anything else. In particular, this website loads no analytics, advertising, remarketing or social-media tracking of any kind.
reCAPTCHA
Every page of this website loads Google reCAPTCHA v3, from www.google.com, to tell a
person filling in the request form apart from a bot. This is the only third-party host this
website contacts while you read it, and it is contacted on every page rather than only on the
one with the form.
reCAPTCHA works by scoring your interaction with the page, and to do that Google receives your IP address and information about your browser and your activity on the page, and may set its own cookies in your browser. That processing is Google’s, under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We receive only the score, and we use it for nothing but deciding whether to accept a form submission.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security and abuse prevention, and Google reCAPTCHA may set its own as described above; neither is used to profile you, and neither can be switched off without breaking delivery or protection of the site.
There is no consent banner and no interstitial on this site. Nothing is placed in front of this page, in any region, before you can read it.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use what you submit for one purpose: to respond to your private beta request and to contact you about early access to DataPlexer. The basis is your own request — you asked us to get in touch — together with our legitimate interest in running and securing this website.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Who processes it for us
Your submission is stored and delivered by two providers, each acting on our instructions:
- Cloudflare — hosting for this website, and the Workers KV store that holds the submission itself. Cloudflare is the source of record for every form capture.
- Mailgun — delivery of the notification email that tells us your request arrived.
That is the complete list for this website.
Where it is stored, and for how long
Submissions are held in Cloudflare Workers KV, which may store and process data on servers inside or outside your country. No automatic expiry is set on these records today: the store deletes nothing by itself, so a submission persists until we delete it, and that deletion is a step we perform rather than one the storage performs for us.
We keep a submission only for as long as it is needed for the purpose you sent it — evaluating and responding to your private beta request — plus any period the Law or another applicable rule obliges us to keep it. After that we delete it. You can ask us to delete yours sooner — see below.
The Dataplexer for Sheets™ add-on
This notice does not cover the add-on. It has its own privacy policy, and that one is the authoritative document:
That policy describes one application and nothing else — what Google user data the add-on accesses and why, what leaves your Google account, where your AWS credentials are held, how long anything is kept, and its Limited Use commitment. It is the policy referenced from the add-on itself and from the product page. The add-on’s terms are at dataplexer.com/redshift-gsheets-integration/terms/.
No data handled by the add-on is shared with DataPlexer’s other products, including the AI products described elsewhere on this website.
Your rights — ARCO
Under the Law, you have the right to Access the personal data we hold about you, to Rectify it when it is inaccurate or out of date, to Cancel it when you believe it is no longer needed for the purposes stated in this notice, and to Object to its processing. These are the ARCO rights. Concretely, you may ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- rectify it if it is wrong or out of date;
- cancel — delete — it;
- object to our use of it, or ask us to limit the use or disclosure we make of it;
- withdraw any consent you gave us, without affecting what was lawful before you did.
To exercise any of these, write to hello@dataplexer.com, stating your name, your contact details, a clear description of the data concerned, and the action you are requesting. We will respond within the timeframes established by the Law.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may bring the matter before the Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales (INAI), the authority that supervises compliance with the Law, using the complaint channels it publishes for that purpose.
Security
Submissions travel over HTTPS and are stored by the providers named above under their own security controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim this one is.
Children
This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age at which the Law requires parental consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published at dataplexer.com/legal/privacy/, with the date of last update at the foot of the page.
